Reorganization Meeting: Monday, August 16, 7 pm

A meeting of the Johnson County Democratic Central Committee is hereby called for Monday, August 16, 2010, at 7 pm at Party Headquarters located at 6516 Martway, Mission KS -- one block southwest of Johnson Drive and Lamar, around the corner from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

KSDP bylaws require that each county central committee shall meet not later than two weeks after each primary election. At such meeting such committee shall vote on whether to organize at that time by electing a chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary and treasurer or whether to organize by electing such officers at a meeting to be held within two weeks after the state general election.

The Executive Board at its July meeting voted and recommends that reorganization be deferred until after the November election. This is customary and recommended for reasons of continuity through the current 2010 election cycle.
